I just read a related topic on another forum and thought this was very interesting.
For years, Pakistani fans have wanted to believe that it was Umpire Jai Prakash whose supposed “biased decisions” contributed majorly to Kumble’s 10 wickets.
Then I look into this YouTube video, and I am amazed…except for Afridi’s decision (and even that was not outrightly wrong), each one of the other 9 wickets are absolute genuine wickets (there is absolutely no doubt in my mind).
Considering how many dubious decisions are being handed out by so-called “neutral umpires” today, I think the Umpiring in that Delhi Test was actually of very high standard.

gotta agree, umpiring was very good, dont know what pakistani fans have been crying foul for so long
the reactions from the batsmen are hillarious (only afridis reaction was understandable)
i have to add, anil kumble has deserved a lot more wickets in his career, modern day umpires are too afraid to give lbw decisions, ive seen plumb after plumb lbw decisions turned down against him

don't think they have....but even so i don't think it is any different than all the crying about saeed's 194, afridi 100 and miadad's six.
ur post didnt really make sense to me...why would pakistanis be crying foul about miandad's six etc?
if u meant india, those were moments that we got dominated by pakistan, but again why would they cry foul? was there something controversial that i missed?

it is no different than Indian fans crying about saeed brining a player as runner to many other dubious reasons to discount feats of other players.
Let's just focus on the nuetral umpires vs home umpires decisions than India vs Pakistan

u keep saying its no different, like you quoted, i said "dont know what pakistani fans have been crying foul for so long " - since its no different than indians crying about anwar brining a player as a runner, can you tell me for what reason pakistani fans are crying over the umpiring?

kumble 10 wickets...or the decisions during this tour?
kumble wickets are done with. good for him, he is among few indian players that gets respect from general pakistani crowd, he and dravid are class acts.

I remember watching that match live, and when 8 wickets were gone, I told my brother that one of the last 2 batsmen should do "hit wicket" but they didn't. Now I think if they had done it, it would have been against the spirit of the game, so my thinking was wrong.
