Angrezi khatam ho jana

English is the official language of Pakistan.. Used for daftri kaam you know :hehe:

But almost in all offices, there is a point when we all want to understand everything written in English in brief Urdu. This stage is known as ‘angrezi khatam hojana’.

On other hand, in our last class of Arabic, there was a test and teachers asked for feedback. Teacher while distributing result told that he was very dishearted that many of us can’t explain their views in Urdu. some students wrote a sentence Urdu and then started writing in English :smack2:

Have you observed /faced this situation?

Re: Angrezi khatam ho jana

Yeah i had to face that kind of situation when i was reading ‘Sahafti Zuban’, that was a quite difficult subject which could not be handled in urdu,:bummer:complicated journalistic and political terms arghhhhh, Whenever i tried to share my views about journalism and its perspectives, i lost in the middle of the para, and then switched to English :cb: but i felt ashamed sometimes…

Re: Angrezi khatam ho jana

meri to angrezi khatm hojati hai

Re: Angrezi khatam ho jana

Exactly the same was suggested by the teacher. he said many people did spelling mistakes (imla ki ghaltiyan) and people who read books don't do such mistake. he further siad ' khuda ke waste kuch bhi padh lo.. chahe khwateen digest... per padho zaroor' :p

Another sugeestion was writing something in your own language.

Re: Angrezi khatam ho jana

How could be that possible when it has become a habit to ghuseRe English words in each and every sentence. We have discussed quite a lot of times about matrook words here.
