Re: Anger adversly affects healing process.
Interesting thoughts on the subject: Subjects described as showing "anger out" (regular outbursts of aggression or hostility) or "anger in" (repressed rage) healed almost as quickly as individuals who ranked low on all anger scales. Only those who tried but failed to hold in their feelings of upset and distemper took longer to heal.
"The ability to regulate the expression of one's anger has a clinically relevant impact on wound healing."
I think it is true in most cases, however, the ability to control one's anger is directly proportional to the amount of stress that is causing that anger. Under stress, the body not only feels the effects of an ill-tempered behavior, but also it is hard to concentrate on other matters when it is constant stress throughout the day. In effect to that, less stress would cause less anger, hence a better health and mind.
