After Madonna another adoption…
Angelina Jolie is planning to adopt a baby in India, reports Globe magazine. The actress and her partner Brad Pitt are said to have visited the Priyadarshini orphanage earlier this month.
An insider told the Record’s web site, “They hope to be able to bring the child home by Christmas. They’d like to name it India to honor its homeland.” Brad would prefer a boy no older than 18 months to even out the sexes, but Angie has told him she can’t guarantee she won’t fall in love with a little girl, according to the reports.
Apparently there’s some disagreement. According to the press, Brad Pitt is thinking of maybe putting an end to their adoption spree and focus instead on their current children.
But then again, Jolie said previously she would want to have one big multi-cultural family, with kids from all across the world. “I want to create a rainbow family. That’s children of different religions and cultures from different countries.” “I believe I’m meant to find my children in the world and not necessarily have them genetically,” she said.
Earlier this month, Britain’s Daily Mirror newspaper quoted actor Brad Pitt as saying “I’m not joking around! I have three kids now and next year I’ll have six. Nine. We’re looking for a soccer team. I want to compete in the next World Cup!” It looks like he’s going to have his wish.
Unlike many parents, Brad Pitt said on that occasion doesn’t feel burdened or stressed out by his kids: “It makes you more efficient because you do everything faster. There’s no time for messing around. I still value the work I do but at the same time I value more getting home to the kids. It somehow makes my work mean more because I know somewhere down the road that my kids will see it.”
Pitt and Jolie are currently in Pune, Maharashtra, India, filming “A Mighty Heart.” The movie is based on the true story of Daniel Pearl, a Wall Street Journal reporter murdered by terrorists in Pakistan in 2002. Jolie plays the role of his wife Marianne Pearl, while Brad Pitt is one of the film’s three producers.
Brad Pitt and Angelia Jolie already have two adopted kids, Cambodian-born Maddox and Ethiopian-born Zahara Marley. They also had their first biological child Shiloh Nouvel in May. Daughter Shiloh Nouvel Jolie-Pitt was born in Namibia on May 27. On March 10, 2002, Jolie adopted her first child Maddox, followed by Zahara on July 6, 2005. Pitt legally adopted the two kids after he and Jolie became a couple. On January 19, 2006, a judge in California approved this request. The children’s legal surnames were formally changed to “Jolie-Pitt”.
The glamour couple have both donated one million dollars to the humanitarian organizations Global Action for Children and Medecins sans Frontieres/ Doctors Without Borders last month. Last year Jolie contributed 500,000 dollars toward the opening of the National Centre for Refugee and Immigrant Children in Washington and pledged up to 5 million dollars over the next 15 years to set up a wildlife refuge in her son Maddox’s native land of Cambodia.
