AND THIS INTERNET SNATCHED MY PEN

Re: AND THIS INTERNET SNATCHED MY PEN

"The Pen" is used by most writers as symbolic. Its not about physically holding a pen and using ink to make shapes on paper that makes it mightier than the sword. Its the effect of what you write and who actually reads it that matters.

These days you can have a much broader audience and a better grasp of when and how you contact people. I remember that I was going through some red tape for someone in my family and I was able to get help from senators and congress-people sitting in my living room. If I had started putting pen to paper (literally) I may not have had that good a result.

Point 2: Pretty soon the rest of the world would be able to read what the doctor actually wrote and it won't be limited to the pharmacist :D

With all that being said hand written notes and letter do have their importance in the "personal" department. When I get a handwritten card in the mail it gives me a good feeling. Ofcourse a txt message from my CEO informing me of the raise does much more, but that's a story for a different time.
