AND THIS INTERNET SNATCHED MY PEN

Writting letters and Daily diary was My hobby , I prefered to supplimen My communication with my handwritten letters and I had made so many *QALMEE DOSTH *and all this practice was in URDU.

Came to Univesity ,where “Questioin paper solution” was still on paper ,drawings still had to draw on hands using scale and all the geometery stuff , although we had to learn use of AutoCAED.

Then came to Job ,where drafting started for communication with Client , consultant and Supplier , Drafts had/has to be written in Ms word.

Then is/was Email and cell phoe use, to send Message in Seconds.

Now came to GS , and the Blogs world where every thing has to be writting using Key board.

I think This Technology first Snatched my Language then My Pen(Qalam).

Where I am going, I donot know ?

Re: AND THIS INTERNET SNATCHED MY PEN

no one's snatched your pen and and your language. You can always go back and do your own thing.

Re: AND THIS INTERNET SNATCHED MY PEN

You know you make sense. It has much disabled our hand writin faculty* :bummer:*

Re: AND THIS INTERNET SNATCHED MY PEN

u r right. we hav forgotten to write. when i write now it feels all gibberish. my hand writing feels like that of a 5th grader.
no more sending letters to friend s. its all abt emailsn txt msg now. another thing i feel technology stole from us is printed photo albums. now ever since i got digital cam i hardly get pix developed. its all on comp now.

You are so right Entisar, the only thing I have been writing on paper for years is sighing my name on some documents which require real signature. :bummer:

Re: AND THIS INTERNET SNATCHED MY PEN

you are so right! All the essays in school, assignments are done on Word documents. and there is no letter writing to cousins in pakistan anymore cuz there is email. I have even noticed that my handwriting has become ugly! :(

Re: AND THIS INTERNET SNATCHED MY PEN

"The Pen" is used by most writers as symbolic. Its not about physically holding a pen and using ink to make shapes on paper that makes it mightier than the sword. Its the effect of what you write and who actually reads it that matters.

These days you can have a much broader audience and a better grasp of when and how you contact people. I remember that I was going through some red tape for someone in my family and I was able to get help from senators and congress-people sitting in my living room. If I had started putting pen to paper (literally) I may not have had that good a result.

Point 2: Pretty soon the rest of the world would be able to read what the doctor actually wrote and it won't be limited to the pharmacist :D

With all that being said hand written notes and letter do have their importance in the "personal" department. When I get a handwritten card in the mail it gives me a good feeling. Ofcourse a txt message from my CEO informing me of the raise does much more, but that's a story for a different time.

1*2=2 2*2=4
3*2=6 4*2=8 ..................
The tables of Numbers we were reciting in our Primary schools.
Then a calculator came and Now , you can see your kids and ask them , can you recite
Even table of 3 till 20.
I donot think he would be able to recite that.

Why because now the new generation kids will look at calculator or computor.
On one hand if this technology have facilitated them but on otherhand they are halting them to think to explore more things and aspects of a subject.

Semilar is for writter , even a professional writter.
when he/she was first sketching for his/her story , then drafting it and after that finalizing it.
Yes , it was time waste on one side but on other side for learners and even the writters knew the track of final evolved stuff.

No doubt it is a blessing , see I wrote in Abu Dhabi and You heard some where very far.

Lolzzzzzzzzzzzzzz,
Desperatly waiting for.
