Ok… so I was wondering…how many rishta’s did you married folk go through before you found “Mr./Mrs. right”
Also…what triggered the fact that he/she was the one for you?

Re: and the winner is...lucky #...?
How come no ones responding...
Did I ask something wrong?? :S
I am not married YET but I did not go through any rishta process…He is the FIRST and LAST one InshAllah.
My whole baat paki/rishta process thing was easy/complicated in a way. His dad came and asked my parents…My mum told me about it…I had a major panic attack…my parents said NO because of some personal reasons… I kinda felt down dont know why though because I was not committed to him in anyway… His parents kept asking my parents for next few weeks I was unaware of the whole situation…Then one day I came home and mum told me they are coming tomorrow for the whole baat paki thing…and thats it…rest as they say is history…Lol now that I am thinking about it my parents didnt even ask me if I was happy with his rishta or not my mum just told me about the rishta and thats about it
But its not like I had any objections it was always going to be my parents decision!!!
May Allah Pak blessed you.
Re: and the winner is...lucky #...?
I'm also not married yet but inshallah will get married in the next few years..
I saw her the first time when I went to pak.. I was like 11.. Then after few years we went again and all I was thinking about was her.. I started liking her, dont know was a strange feeling, never felt this way.. When I went the next time to pak I told her that I like her and to my surprise she also liked me. Obviously our parents saw that we get along very well. But from both sides it was a NO for the Rishta (thats atleast what they told us), we did not understand why but still kept in touch. Then suddenly one day (after years) my dad asked me whether I'm serious about her and offcourse I said yes. Then he said ok I'll get your rishta done and I was like THANK GOD. :-)
So my winner is lucky number 1 and hers also :-)

Eleven? Seriously?
Sick.
Eleven? Seriously?
Sick.
Agree.
Eleven...wow.
People's weirdness never ceases to amaze me. I don't think I was aware of girls till I was 13 lol.
none.. I wanted someone totally unconnected to my family and the community (little fish in big pond and all that), didn't want any tea-trolley meetings or to look at any pics or cvs and my parents were ok with that.. there were a couple of weirdos who turned up with their parents without even being invited but I would just stay upstairs and not bother coming down and my dad would say some cr*p like 'she's sleeping' :D
Eleven? Seriously?
Sick.
I said I saw **her the first time when I was eleven. We were kids and needless to say that I was NOT in love with her or something since I didn't even know what love is.
We went the second time after 4 years so I was 16 and when I came to know that we are going to pak **then I started thinking about her how she would look like, whether she would still know my name etc.. That's when I started liking her.
Re: and the winner is...lucky #...?
A Burgundy Passport brings a lot of boys to your yard
Serious ones that my parents considered.. 5/6
Serious ones that I considered and said NO NO NO to 5/6
The rest my parents rejected without my knowledge and quite rightly so..
This one, I would have thought would have been the easiest but not so.. but Confi always swims against the current and inshALLAH it will be worth it..
Eleven? Seriously?
Sick.
...
there isnt any problem with that......some mature faster!

Inshallah Mr.Right will come along soon enough!!
just out of curiosity...do you find the more ppl you meet the more confused you get??
Re: and the winner is...lucky #...?
I had so many rishtas, coming my way. But in the end it turned out to be so simple. My family came to know abt her, they met twice, and asked my opinion. I came to Pak for one week, and literally my family only allowed me to just have one glimpse of her (and that also 'chai paish kartay huay'). All my plans smashed :(. And I had to say 'YES' unconditionally.
It was a very traditional rishta.
But We are extremely happy. ALHAMDULILLAH.
Re: and the winner is...lucky #...?
classical...that's awesome! Inshallah you two continue to be happy!
Sometimes parents do know best eh!
