So finally I got married… After a very long episode of planning, arrangements, coflicts and all… The day of my dreams came to reality… We had a very wonderfull event, from mayoun, mehndi to valima everything was superb and then started parties…
Hahhh… But now only 10 more days to go and then I’ll be leaving all this behind :-(. My husband and me will be flying to Malaysia. My parents live in UAE and rest of my family is in Pakistan, we have no one there in Malaysia.
I am happy that I am going to start my new life there, I will have my own home but on the other hand I am too sad to leave all my loved ones behind. Each time I start packing my stuff I start crying and I don’t know how to handle this situation…
Does someone here has any similar stories???

Seriously .. iv got the same story but ill be back in lahore with my in laws .. my family is in UAE and a brother in states who'll just dropp in for a couple of weeks .. I AM SO SAD! i have never lived without my family and well .. its time to change things i guess =|

Hey the blog made me cry again :(. The only difference is that I was super duper excited when preparing for my wedding coz my husband and his family were also based in UAE and I knew that even after marriage I’ll be able to live nearer to my parents… But just a week before our wedding my hubby got an excellent offer from Malaysia and he accepted it. It’s great opportunity for his career and therefore we both have to make a sacrifice now.
I think its all fate and is written in the books above…
WHere in Malaysia? KL?? Malaysia is a nice place with a muslim majority and has quite a no. of Pakistanis. Also many nice places to go within the country like Langkawi, Genting etc. Hope u settle well! :)

The day after my wedding, my husband accepted a job in the US (my whole family and his family are all settled in Canada). They wanted him to start right away, so 4 days after our wedding we packed up everything and moved to the states. In the beginning it was really hard because I wasnt used the responsibilities I had to take on, along with missing my family so much. We didnt know anyone here, so we were alone. The city we moved to was hit really hard by the recession, so the population really decreased in the last few years, so its almost like a ghost town here, but this was best for my husbands career, so we had to come here. It has been almost a year now since we moved here (next weekend is our 1 year anniversary MashAllah!) and we have settled in well. It took a few months before I stopped longing to go back home. You end up making a life for yourself, and as selfish as it sounds, you move on.
Trust me, it will be ok! I am a testament to the fact that it will be ok!
