i don't care it's 1824 or 5840th days.. - the point is only voters have the right to reject/dismiss government - not supreme court/army/america or anyone else !
I find it amusing... you remind me of the brown sahibs most notably hussain haqqani or mqm's babur ghauri handing them the country's rear to mess with and on media criticizing them and saying no one has a right to challenge our sovereignty.
Well even in Mushy's era we had times when there would be no gas available at many of the pumps because of low or no pressure so it was kind of load-shedding, I am bringing that up to say that the current gas crisis was in the making in his time. Just as we have no planning to meet the demand of electricity 5 years down the road similarly we have no planning of meeting gas demands. I don't know how long is the load-shedding currently for households or gas-stations. I think it will be upto private sector taking up that task of providing everything to the common man, like producing electricity via solar panels etc.
We knew that we had few problems in Mushy period, but now there more problems i.e. we the people voted the govt to solve those very problems, that is the reason PML (Q) the representative party of Mushy was voted out of the govt. Now the situation is getting worse, Mushy have done wrong, but the like you said we have not seen any better planning from this govt either, two years is enough for any govt to atleast put up the plans and policies to fix the things, all we see are the plans to get Bilawal get elected, zardari calling for conspiracy and bla bla bla, while we the people are continously suffering left right and centre...
I doubt any government has ever succeeded in giving relief to 'common man' so far in the history of Pakistan, however some governments were probably able to make it less miserable or slowed down the fall of quality of life.
Spot on! that is the exact reason when the democractically elected govt has been thrown out by a military general, people of Pakistan have welcomed them... they have given up on the democractic families, where they have either limited or no represntation... these people of political parties have never been to local colleges or hospitals, they prefer foreign schools and hospitals.. the military regime have some representation from the masses of Pakistan or they know or been through the common problems... and they try to solve it, mushy 1st three years can be quoted as example, but absolute power corrupts them...
Now the questions is, if the current govt fails to deliver then what?
Zardari has only one motto, watch "Hum sab umeed say hain" to know what that motto is ;)
I don't think you are suffering from same diseases as many of journalists and politician's want Kiyani to take over !
Well pointing out mistakes, court proceedings against the wrong doings of official's are perfectly fine. but neither Pakistan is France or USA so any hard-hit will take down already fragile structure of democracy.
You surely are suffering from the diseases i mentioned in earlier post, can please tell me how exactly we can point out the mistakes? and how exactly supreme court can work with the corrupt leadership in hand...
do you think we should say something like this,
***Yes Pakistan govt. is doing great, Zardari is the great leader, he have done wonders in Pakistan, yes people are dying every now and then, yes the one who are alive are suffering from the shortage of any necessity worth mentioning and he is doing to increase the patience level of the common man of Pakistan. whilst the elite class is looting Pakistan by all means....
And Supreme court should be like this
No case against the govt should be heard, but if any common man doesn't pay or misses an installment of his loan, he should be dealt with iron fist... ***
Is this what you are recommending.. if not please tell us in light of your comments what are you trying to say...
Now the questions is, if the current govt fails to deliver then what?
I think the only choice we have is to wait for next elections OR (big OR) the opposition drags government to media to face the failures and then go for 'no-confidence' option and change govt but that would probably involve lots and lots of horse-trading.

Elections might be better option.. a hung govt which shall be the result of this OR will not be in position to deliver either...
The ideal scenario would be that the govt. takes the challenge and tries to do something right, something which can improve the life of the common man... and with all this, i believe this might be last thing in the things-to-do-list of zardari association...
After two years, Zardari led PPP govt is most focus on statements and public addresses where they are trying to be the victim of Allah knows what... Today Zardari said he have Hawk-Eyes, can these eyes see the suffering of the people or these eyes only help him to find something for him only???
