well if aryan theory is tru they came from europe only.. let them research more on coins etc..

There are a million reasons it could end up there. Trade, loot, diplomatic gift, etc.

My understanding is that Aryan migration could not account for this. Assuming Hinduism in its developed form with Vishnu etc was the Aryan belief at the time of the Aryan migrations, you would find many more Hindu idols along the path of the Aryan migration and Aryan settlement into Europe.

I have heard some people say that there is Shiv Ling inside Kaaba. Has anyone heard this?

were they called hindus at that time?....or was there any concept of religion at that time!.

That idol could have ended up there due to trade or some who migrated. no big deal!

:hehe: are you referring to the other thread ? There is no shiv viv ling shing inside Ka’aba, all the idols were removed after Muslims’ take over, they now remain in minds of idolators.

Aryan Invasion theory can not explain this. Idol worship has never been mentioned in the Rig Veda. Also, Vishnu is not of any importance in the Vedas- he has been mentioned to be the Upendra- an assistant of Indra

well Christianity embracing of russians started in 10th ad only and statue is of 7-10 th ad.. along wth statue other things like coins etc found.. may be possible that some trade colony of indians there or god knows..

yes Aryan invasion cannot solve it as they have shifted2 or more centuries before time of this idol... and yes idol worship not in that times.. may be present but not compulsory.. two things were there saguun bhagti( need idol etc 4 concentration etc ) Nirguunn bhakti ( no idol.. prevalent more then ) it must be upto people...

are there many Hindus participating in this website? the number of questions and curiosities raised about Hindu religion that I have seen is somewhat surprising. There is this, then there is one about kaaba, then there is one about Ram etc. How come so much interest? I don't quite see that much about Christian or Jewish topics (may be I am wrong on this, I am just saying what I observed since I joined here)

Mind you, I have no objection and in fact happy that I get to see a diverse variety of discussions...but just wondering.

I guess there are only a handful Indians in this forum. We don't ask how many muslims are in this forum. What prompted u to ask how many Hindus are in this forum. Don't worry we are open to debate about Jews, Christainty, Buddhism etc.
