Anyone use the ABH Cream Contour palette? Just bought mine in medium and I’m having slight buyer’s remorse. Eeep!

I saw the swatches and didn’t find it to be grey toned enough. I’m getting the smashbox instead.

Don’t contour on a daily basis and even when i do for special occasions, i don’t like to overdo it. Thus, i think i’ll just get the powder one instead. Doesn’t seem like it will apply too dramatically if you use a light hand.

  1. I’ve been spending way too much money on makeup
  2. It’s nice ( I like the consistency) but the colors aren’t ideal. I’m having to cream contour UNDER my foundation and then go over it again with a powder so it just seems like extra work. The contouring on the top of my forehead and even nose looks fine, but the cheek contour is making me look like snooki. :S

Maybe you just need more practice? I know I’m in the same boat lol. Try youtube-ing demo’s on how to contour properly.

Yeah i youtubed it because I was convinced there was some trick to cream contour that I wasn’t getting. But it really is the color tones for the palette. Super orange. They look pretty bad on most people, unless you’re fairly tan and okay with a very heavily made up face. It looks fine when I do it under foundation and then go over it with a gray toned contour powder but it just seems like an extra step lol. If I’m paying $40, I expect this thing to work. lol. I still like it though…it doesn’t budge, that’s for sure! And the light highlighting shades are fine for me. I just dislike the darkest shade in my palette. lol

Lol damn, I’m second guessing at buying this now. My complexion and orange do NOT go together. Hate the way people hype it up as well. Maybe the lighter palette would be better but sucks that that one doesn’t have the yellow banana powder.

I’m white girl pale so I got the light palette and the highlight shades are fine, I like using them as concealers and stuff. The 1st shade is the banana shade and I like that one a lot. My issue is with the darkest. I kind of wish I got the medium because the darker shade on there looks a tad bit less orange.

I wanted to buy it at first but when I went to sephora…I didn’t like it… it’s too orange…honestly the Kat Von D contour palette is so much better, its not as orange.
