Just wanted to share my experience with Seema’s in Green Street, London.
Recently I have been very dissapointed with the orders i placed with so called designers in Pakistan, so instead of wasting my money i decided to get something made for me from someone who was based in London even though it might mean paying extra. I wanted to see what the actual suit would look and feel like before i ordered so i decided to go to Green street and see if i could find a shop which does customised orders. Plus I was 6 months pregnant and needed something customised so i decided that anarkali suits would be better for me.
I went into a few shops but I really liked the designs in Seema’s the owner (Sarfraz Bhai) is really patient and he works to your budget. I paid £160 and £250 each for two anarkali suits. He had sample designs in his shop and all i had to do was choose the colours from his colour swatch book and provide my measurements.
It took 3 weeks for the suits to be made and they were amazing, i got so many compliments at my neice’s wedding, I dnt know ho i can share the pics with you because i dnt have enough posts to qualify for sharing my email address…
Just be warned only deal with Sarfraz cos his wife and the sales assisstants are not very customer friendly and dont go on a weekend cos he has no time to breathe let alone talk on saturday and sunday!!
hy fellow londoner :D
i would luv to see da pics, hurry up and get 25 posts so u can upload pics ;o)
wat side is seema's, on green st and did u give them a pic of the outfit and they copied it?
What a coincident....have just got back from Green Street!!
Not sure where Seema's is,but managed to get a couple from Nayab...bang up to date with the style and in the sale too.
Also checked out Daminis....man those outfits make me droooool!
Have to say that the Indian shops have very much the sameness in fabric and style, (no offence to any Indian guppies) whereas the Pakistani shops have better fabrics and nicer designs. There were dresses to suit all budgets....and the jewellry in Bees was most excellent.
Do post your pix nsalam...would love to see them :)
seema's is on the same side as henna, mehndi bees, doli's ... the owner already had samples in his shop which i just modified to my requirements, make sure u go upstairs he has a range of lenghas and fusion gowns upstairs
