Akbar was the great MuGhal King. he had married a Hindu woman Jodha Bai. she did not bear him a child so he walked bare feet to a saint's grave [Hazrat Khowaja Saleem Chishti, r.a.] and asked for a son whjo wud succed to his throne after his passing away. she conceived and he a prince was born and he named him shahzada saleem [after the saint's name]. he was brought up in luxury which started to make him misbehave and pick up bad royal habits like drinking and all. so the king Akbar the great sent him away for military training just like a commoner and when he returned after an arduous training he was transformed into a handsome man.

sometimes later, he fell in love with a woman who was teh daughter of a statue maker. the king didn't approve of their relationship and forced her to go into exile. he could not overcome his loss and started drinking and dying a slow death. then one day she appeared from nowhere and the spark flew again. upon finding that, Akbar the great arrested her and asked his men to build a wal around her and entomb her alive. and thats how this love story ended.

the prince later became successor, Jahangir. He married another lady and had the son ShahjahaN who built the Taj Mahal in love of his wife who had died in labour. he is know for being a just ruler. his wife once had killed a man accidentally. her case came to the court, she was sentenced to die but the night she was supposed to be executed the victims family accepted blood money as its allowed in islamic shari'a. that night he put his head in his wife's lap and cried and said...what if u were put to death tonight...i wud have killed myself.

if u are interested u mus watch this epic movie called MUGHL-E-AZAM starring king of tragedy Dilip Kumar and the Marilyn Munroe of Bollywood, Madhubala. now its available in color. i highly recommend u to watch. u can have it from any indo/pak store.**
