analyze this and reflect

My GSers,

A certain someone spoke this upon being asked, what his routine is like?

"A little bit of drinks are actually good for health
as even the Quran acknowledges - there is some good and some bad but the
bad exceeds the good (only if one abuses!)

Fun for me is anything from sports - rowing, swimming, cycling, trekking,
tennis, soccer to chess to cocktails in themed bars or even beer at a pub,
or diet coke/coffee when I need caffeine, wine-tasting (Napa and Sonoma are
lovely), art shows, galleries, opera, theatre, select movies, reading,
massages - giving and receiving(all sorts, Thai, Chinese, Swedish
especially Japanese Shiatsu,), spas, lounging at a nice beach, flirting,
people watching, pulling charms at people and being successful:-), chatting
up strangers when in the mood , provoking people with being a devils
advocate, tongue in cheek humour even shopping sometimes. What about you?"

just what could i say back to him??

any thought??

The best way out is always through

Re: analyze this and reflect

It depends on the kind of friendship/relationship that you've with that person.
e.g. if looking for a long term relationship, simple say that you don't believe/agree on few things that he does. so it can't work.
if that person is just someone, you don't know much and you don't care then ignore it.
if that person is you friend already then based on how deep the frienship is, simply disagree with him and give your opinion.

In any case BE HONEST. Say what you feel, is right. :)

Re: analyze this and reflect

i agree.
it was a bit forward for me as a liberal-conservative young decent woman.

Re: analyze this and reflect

thanks for the advice cool breeze. u are right.
i will go with the 3rd one.

Re: analyze this and reflect

Essentially it depends on how strongly you objects to the things that you object to in this veritible list of objectionables. Never think that if you overlook these now you might change those aspects of the personality down the track, yours or his.

Re: analyze this and reflect

there is no doubt, men do all this... but why someone who i thought would not be doing it?
do u think that he is testing my patience? is it some sort of shocking mental tease?
i am disappointed.
what if , the 2 are engaged?
i feel very upset.
u are right, nothing can be assumed for a change down the lane.

Re: analyze this and reflect

um all men do this? probably...but those that brag about it to a prospective partner (i am assuming) is a concern. If they ARE engaged, is it in accordance with both their wishes. If his wishes werent addressed than yes you are probably right, these are statements to send the other running...away...or he is ridiculously sincere...or assumes that boasting about exciting/dangrous/taboo somehow adds to his charms...
If it really is an engagement or such a discussion for clarifications is in order, but even after that proceed with caution.
