An unwanted guest from California/Arizona?

Prospis juliflora or as they called it "keeker’ in Sindh was introduced in Sindh by an English botanist in 1877. These shrubs/trees are native of Californa and Arizona. Today this is the major contributor of Sindh and Eastern Balouchistan’s flora. Some people have found it as far as in Northern Punjab.

The local vegetation has been badly suffered from this specially the trees of Acacia India (babbur or babool).

The roots of PJ goes deep down in the soil and it is very hard to remove it.
