Usually people select their signatures which are relevant to the section they mostly go to. If they go to other sections then the same signature will appear after their post, but this signature may be totally irrelevant to that section.
Since signatures appear automatically, if someone does not want the signature to appear then one has to do it manually for each separate post. This is very unpractical.
It would be nice to have the option to have different signature for different sections of the forum. Since it would be just an option, so it would be in the hands of the user whether to use multiple signatures or not.
