By jewelry, do u mean--- the extremely "tacky" (in my opinion) traditional jewelry? Or do u mean, any simple pair of earings like diamond studs, pearl studs, silver studs, simple silver jewelry...?
If you don't like to wear, u don't have to. Your fiancee probably thinks that you would like jewelry just as 'every girl' likes jewelry and plans on buying some for you. Isn't it some sort of tradition for the groom to buy tons of jewelry for his bride anyways? If he's gonna buy jewelry, might as well get him to buy stuff u like (if u like American jewelry) like platinum jewelry, diamond earrings. You'll probably use this type of jewelry more than Paki jewelry b/c this can be used in daily life.
or if you absolutely feel uncomfortable in all jewelry, just make it absolutely clear to him and tell him that he might as well put that $ to better use, i.e. charity, or other things for you.
I personally don't like traditional jewelry and that yucky gold either. But I wear earrings, usually little silver studs, diamond studs, or pearl studs.
