mind you ladies on the forum, if there were no bad boys there definetely no fashion products for ladies.
because all these catchy ideas come from the bad boys, the good boys dont have time for these things.
eg wunderbra is on top my list.

Re: an IDEAL SOCIETY
no idealistic minds?
maybe this is as ideal as our society can get.
Beneath this mask there is more than flesh. Beneath this mask there is an idea, Mr. Creedy, and ideas are bulletproof.
Re: an IDEAL SOCIETY
That ideal society exists twin-born, its called a stable and its for horses.
Re: an IDEAL SOCIETY
mywish ap koi ache baat be ker liya karain
Re: an IDEAL SOCIETY
first question, what ius society?
no society would mean the absence of relationas btw humans, and the death of humanity, because human are too weak to survive alone, and sexual creatures:D
so no society means no humans, if ideal = nothing, itâs pure nihilism, not very constructive
Re: an IDEAL SOCIETY
But
Re: an IDEAL SOCIETY
If there is nothing bad, then there is no gauge to test the good as well.
An IDEAL society will be a dynamically evolutionary society where things are constantly changing for the better. If that evolutionary process were to stop, the same things which were considered good will become bad in no time.
However, there will be a dilemma on hand in that society. The society will put constant pressure on people to change for the good. Groups will develope in the society to counter that change. Then people will have different ideas on how things need to be changed and then there will be division between groups.
So my view is, on an instant in time, there may be societies which could be considered IDEAL in their times, but in the long run none would be considered IDEAL.
Re: an IDEAL SOCIETY
^^ interesting
i've allways considered iceland to be the best availble example of "ideal" society: freedom, low crime rate, high literacy rate, low social inequities, low gender inequities, good understanding btw generations, high level of wealth and health.
are there social pressure on people there? not more than anywhere else, but lower...
social pressure is a brake to creativity, creativity leads to better changes in the long run, because evolution do not favor bad changes anyway...
when individual freedom is high due to high education and moral level of most individuals, there is less need for complex laws and regulations, so less need for endless fights over what should be the next law to be voted .
i think that the higher human get educated, the higher moral they can behave, then the less need for laws against freedom, and the closer one get to IDEAL society.
Iceland had been the country with highest literacy rate of the world since nearly 1000 because that small society had had low inequities, due to climate and size, feudal landlords had not much power, so common people enjoyed more freedom to get education than in europe, hindustan, ottoman empire, japan or china.
and still today Iceland had not been overtaken by any country regarding overall morality

Agreed. An ideal society would be quite impossible. The world is imperfect.
Re: an IDEAL SOCIETY
Donât forget babies. No babies. Oh, and no farts. I hate farts.
How very Augustinian of you. Of course, if there is nothing bad there is a gauge to test the good as well. There could be several levels of good, starting with the lowest and going to the highest. I think if you read what you wrote carefully, youâll realize it makes for good rhetoric but it acutally doesnât mean anything. Just watch a childrenâs cartoon, there is a lot of good and nothing badâ doesnât mean you canât measure the good thatâs there.
Re: an IDEAL SOCIETY
Thanks for introducing the term Augustinian to my vocabulary.
Acutally what I wrote makes perfect sense to me. You cannot judge anything on its own; one always needs something for comparision. All comparisions are relativistic and their outcome depends on where you are making the comparisions from. IMHO. For many people, the lesser good might be just outright evil.
Re: an IDEAL SOCIETY
Moral relativism. Yeah.
Re: an IDEAL SOCIETY
of course relativsim is used to determine any measure, and measuring the level of morality is done relatively :k:
BUT that doesnât mean any society should not strive to get to upper levels of morality according to its relative measuresâŚand by trying to improve step by step morality levels, it would get closer to ideal
i believe that they are different attitudes, either trying to stay same, trying to become better or to become worst!
**the lesser good might be just outright evil: **so anywhere thelesser good must be eradicated, through education and dialogue, the more we strive to promote the best goods, and the more the lesser goods will disappear!
i would conclude that the ideal society is not âabsolutely idealâ but relatively ideal to the societies currently available for a relative comparison. the example i developped above: iceland seems to me the right example of the most ideal society available right now.
