Last week I was showering and realized we were out of conditioner, and so only used shampoo.
My hair is kind of thin and doesn’t have much body, but boy was it wavy and full when I came out of the shower that day. Since then, I’ve decided to drop conditioner out of the routine for a while, but have promised myself to apply oil regularly to keep the hair moisturized. We’ll see how it goes.
Anyway, it’s been dry sometimes, but still seems pretty healthy. I think I’ll keep it up at least for a little while longer.
Anyone else only use shampoo and no conditioner?
Also, what kind of oil is best for hair? We use olive oil… but I’ve also heard that other oils, like coconut or almond can be good. Any preferences?
Conditioner adds too much weight to hair. I just spritz it with rose water when I come out of the shower and then lightly coat my palms with black seed oil and then rub it into my hair. I love almond oil too, olive oil is too heavy for my hair and too oily, black seed oil works best on my hair.
I never use conditioner. It does add a lot of extra weight to your hair. Waise bhie I alreay have 'silky' hair. If you have dry hair I think it would be better to use conditioner, with my hair it just doesnt work

You really just need to use conditioner on the ends of your hair, esp if you have thin hair. Like most of the ladies said, conditioner adds weight, that's why when you didn't didn't use it you had volume in your hair. I would suggest continuing using the conditioner on the ends of your hair only to prevent them from drying out.
There's no rule that says you have to use conditioner every time you wash your hair, although you might eventually decide trying weekly or monthly deep conditioning treatments instead.
If you feel that conditioner weighs your hair down then it's most likely that you're using the wrong conditioner for your hair type. And if your hair feels fine without using any conditioner then think of the money you'll save if nothing else.
