Today, I was shocked when few symptoms made me suspicious about a stranger’s presence in my house. It all started when there were few misunderstandings between me and my wife regarding certain issues of our life when suddenly we realized that something was actually missing in our house, and it seemed that it was stolen with such a planning that we did not even realize its absence till our focus shifted unintentionally towards the missing thing.
In daily life, it is usually not something to worry about so when my focus was shifted to it’s absence, I thought may be this shift of focus was actually a blessing in disguise to prevent the argument from gaining more heat. As me and my wife sat in our TV lounge wondering who might have stolen this thing, I tried to recall all the people who visited our house in the past few days. Because this thing was definitely there in the house few days ago. We both came to the conclusion that the person is an enemy very near to me and my wife and knows us very well, that is why he selected the most precious thing from our house. After thinking hard we came to know who he was, in fact he was the same person who secretly told me bad things about my wife and also caused misunderstanding in my wife’s heart regarding my loyalty towards her.
We both thanked Allah (s.w.t) for helping us in finding out the idea to trap that enemy in our house and kick him out after snatching back the thing from him which he stole from us and caused almost a fight among us.
By the grace of Allah (s.w.t) we were able to snatch back the “barakah”(blessings) from Shaitaan (devil) the moment we recited Auzu billahi minash sheytanir rajim Bismillahir rahmanir rahim (I seek refuge in Allah from the accursed Satan. In the name of Allah, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful). It was actually this precious thing we used to use before every meal, every discussion and every thing we used to do in our life, which we forgot for the past few days that resulted in a chance for the devil to sneak into our house, steel the blessings and create misunderstanding between me and my wife.
That's true. Reading Taa'ooz and Tasmiyah before doing something makes it go smoother. I used to do it when I was young but now I rarely do it. It's bad but I try to read them whenever I remember.
Every time I forget to use this weapon, this enemy secretly makes its way into my house one way or the other, hence trying to steal barakah from my relationships with my relatives. I need to remind myself more frequently to remain under the protection of this ultimate weapon.
Next time, keep your barakah under a box that is propped up by a stick, tie a string to the stick and wait in hiding, when the enemy comes to steal the barakah, pull the string to trap the enemy under the box.
