So today in American History II we were studying World War I and the war in Iraq came up. For some reason i said…unlike WWI not all of America agrees about the War in Iraq..and the stupidity began. Two or three girls were like “we dont even know why we’re at war with Iraq.” And well i explained because the teacher was red with anger…but the point is…no one really knows why…like the “future” of the u.s. doesnt know..
…like on late night shows..when they ask college students common knowledge questions about politics…like when they say our capital is Chicago or something:smack:
My Secret: and that is the reason, US is at war - public really has no clue of anything outside their very small circle.
I was shocked when a professor of International relations didn't have some imp knowledge of political issues outside of America.
i agree most of america is stupid now ...but there are those few "smart" people..my point is...shouldnt the government do something to atleast help people understand what is really going on..

well the government said it’s because Iraq had “weapons of mass distruction”. Even though the weapons were not discovered the u.s. pretty much ruined everything. Now there are revolutions and u.s. being the nice country it is(ya right), is trying to rebuild the government.
and because of 9/11 which i personally think was planned. The media basically told the public that Iraq did it just like in WWI when they used propaganda against germany.

They are not stupid, the correct phrase would be that they are politically unaware of the world and that is because they are doctored or kept to be so. They are not at all stupid in their own professiona lives, we should shake this impression of their stupidity off of us, after all they are the ones who have us enslaved politically and economically all over the world and yet we sit here and claim they are stupid.
it's the a selected few who have us "politically enslaved"..i agree they are kept to be this way..but i'm from the U.S. too...what i'm trying to say is that no one cares. Yes, they probably are smart in their lives but they are stupid when it comes to knowing what's happening around you. They complain about the government and how bushy is a loser...but no one takes the time to even see what's going on.
True Iraq doesn’t look like it was building nuclear weapons. Thats a given. I can agree with that. But they did use them back in the day on Irani soldiers.

The media did not tell the public that Iraq had weapons. If you remember, only conservative media did that. The liberals wanted to deal with iran instead and there were all these war protests within the United States before the war started. Do you remember that? CNN and MSNBC still to this day have the same rant that Bush went to Iraq without a purpose, yada yada yada…
Its not that bush senior couldn’t but didn’t. Personally I was happy to see saddam go. I was uplifted at the fact that the majority Shias had an oppurtunity of trying to rule themselves and not by some tiny minority of Sunnis did rule for three decades. Its like the Ahmedis ruling Pakistan for 30 years, while Sunnis are the clear majority.
Also as a side note, I thought it was a great oppurtunity for muslims in Iraq to rule themselves for a change. But the muslims themselves started killing their own. An example of the early violence that was started by wahabis, where they started attacking shia shrines and pilgrims, suicde bombing shia mosques etc. The shias started replying after a few years of tolerating that stuff with militias targeting Sunnis.
ya they didnt really state the reason..9/11 put people in a difficult emotional state and the gov. took advantage of that..and Iraq kind of put themselves in a bad position by saying they had weapons..but why did the U.S. gov. have to lie and make fake evidence..it's just so dumb
Fake evidence was absolutely mind boggling. The simple allegation that they MAY HAVE evidence confused most people in the states. But Iraqis had a real oppurtunity after saddam was gone. They could have used America and build a proper functioning government that was prosperous...but noooooooo. the wahabis had to go on and screw up stuff.
