Assalamu Alaikum,
On Saturday 5:30 pm Dhaka time (Sat 5:30 AM Minneapolis Time) my father passed away.
Surely to Allah we belong & to Him we return.
At this point in time, I ask people to remember him in your prayers.
I pray to Allah to ease his trials, grant him spaciousness in his grave, cover him with the mercy of Allah, grant his eternal paradise and honor him with those who are honored.
My father taught me Islam. From him I learnt my knowledge both in theory and in practice. He was a scholar who wrote over 10 books and translated volumes of hadith into Bangla. And he taught me of his knowledge. I learnt fiqh and aqidah from him. He taught me how to think intelligently. From his example, I was inspired to dedicate myself to serve Allah. All his life he has been an example for me and even in his death he managed to set an example for me.
My father suffered a mild heart attack about five days ago. He refused to stop fasting and he continued praying Taraweeh. He told my mother that his last wish was to meet Allah at the gate of Rayyan and so he refused to stop fasting. On Saturday, as he was fasting he began to have chest pains a little after Asr. He was taken to the hospital and he breathed his last just as the muezzin delivered the Maghrib adhan, before he had a chance to break his fast. In death, my father set an example of perseverance and constancy in the service of Allah for me to follow.
I pray to Allah to grant him Jannah
I pray to Allah to grant him forgiveness
I pray to Allah to grant him mercy
I pray to Allah to grant him entrance through the gate of Rayyan
I pray to Allah to grant raise him with the martyrs, pious, righteous, prophets and messengers.
Ameen.
I ask you to remember my father in your Dua.
fi aman illah.
