I forgot to mention that the cover of this book has been nominated for an Award in US. They will announce the result on 9th Feb.
Also, there will be some events in Pakistan regarding Pakistan’ first international thriller author.

4000 is too much. They asked me about it, and I told them that my price should not reach to more than 2100-2400 PKR. That's when they came up with an issue of bigger margin. They are asking for a bigger margin, which I cannot offer them. That's why I am waiting for some people to call them.
Even Rs 2100 to 2400 is too much, considering its your first book and normally fiction books are not that expensive. Even latest hit 'Sea of Poppies' by Amitav Gosh having more than 500 pages is priced at Rs 800 by Liberty.

It is 12.62$ on Amazon after 4 years. I'm wondering on the price set by Liberty.
Both novels are totally different.
If I reduce the price, there will be nothing left for me. Everyone has their margin in it. Online expanded distributions and brick and mortar needs their cut.
That's why, I choose Kindle exclusive, so, people can get it at very low price.

I don’t think that liberty got a Fiction book with such a high price.
If we see at their site, there are bundle of books (by same writer) for such price.

@TlGER Your PR team should write blog in Dawn and Tribune and let other Pakistani audience know that you are new author and wrote this book…

I’ve seen their site, and only the books with low prices are enlisted there. If you go to their store, they have books in all ranges. You just mentioned the book with the price of 4000.
Price depends on production material, publisher, and origin of publishing.

Dimensions: Page size also matters. I used 5" x 8" - an easy to hold size. It can fit in your shelves along with the other books. You can comfortably hold and read this novel in public places (metros, buses, parks). I could have decreased the cost with 6" x 9".
There are many more things, but I produced my novel as I wanted to.
Roughly estimate of my novel:
Product cost: 500
Publisher profit: 300
Shipping charges: 450-550
Retailer profit: Unknown. Usually half of the list price (suppose: 800)
Total: 2100 - The list price of Amazon
Someone is missing here - an unknown person who gave his two years to this book. (Don’t think that all money goes into author’s pocket)

lets hope for the better. My experience as a buyer says that there are huge retailer profits on books, which make it difficult for the reader to put hands on his/her favorite book.

The news propagated in social media, but it is useless. You have to spend some money to maximize its visibility. I think, The Dawn also published it in their epaper.
