I think the US is an empire in denial ..it has the ability to project power to any part of the world in a drop of an eye..when it sneezes everyone catches a cold, when it kills people it does with exceptional efficiency. Yet oddly in areas where it has the longest and most complicated relationships (the Middle East or Pakistan) it insists it has not done anything wrong...in Pakistans case anti Americanism is quite easy..the US has a history of backstabbing Pakistan after using it..(as one Pak ex ambassador said Pakistan wants a nikkah, the US is only interested in a mutah)

In case you are wondering, I do not hate America. I am actually quite pro american in comparason to my white middle class companions, who actually hate you more than you would feel safe imagining.
