hp pivilion
p-4 2 meg processor
15" some thing screen
712 ram
40 gig hard drive

For 500 canadian$$.

I think I got my self a good deal.

I know this old dude.
He use to send me funy e-mails and stuff.
One day he told me he wanted to sell his laptop for 500 to some one.
I said I am intrested too. so

I installed suse linux on it its as beautiful as apple.
Apple 10 and after also based on linux I think.
I have installed few programs on linux which were developed for apple.

Plus it gives me amazing control over hard ware.

Only bad thing about p4 is----the fan is always on---unlike my old p3 dell latitude which is quite like a theaf.

usman yaar i was talking about my p4 its fan is always on.
They have acheaved speed but processor create to much heat.

I already want to sell my p4 and buy centrino processor.

As i said on my P3 fan was never on till i copile like kernel or some thing.

The heat produced from core duo’s and or core 2 duo’s is way less then the P4 architecures.
the core’s have lower power consumption and acceptable thermal figures.

TB: That was a design error with Macs :rolleyes: The TDP of all conroe’s tops max at 89 Watts I believe, whereas the P4D’s went up to 135 Watts (all figures and numbers are aproximation)

Just as a bit of an update, since this piece has been picked up all over the net: This isnt really serious. Although it is theoretically possible to get egg protiens to congeal from the heat of a MacBook, the guy posted the story as a joke. That is all. :smiley:
