I have exchanged a few pms with the gracious Ehsan bhai and he ‘assured’ (may be an illusion of mine) me that he will make it happen for us.
An Art forum for all of us Art Lovers…
I suggested a Guppy Art and Famous Art section and a Photography section also.
I suggested that we want to open this forum to all kinds of art like paintings, Sculpture, Ancient Architecture, Photography, Graphic design and any abstract or 3D forms of art. These can be pieces by guppies or by famous history artists.
I feel that discussions about various painters and their paintings will occur most definitely in this new forum of ours, in connection with the piece and its effects on individuals /time periods. They could be critiques of works posted by the guppies with feed back. Either their own work or any work they feel inspired by or against towards. This will open doors to great discussions and new understandings.
In the photography section.. we will look at photos / prints as a piece of Art. Also, the technical aspects as well as the composition and other creative characteristics. This will be a place for serious photographer guppys as well as day to day photographers to display their work and to discuss the mega pixel technology.
I strongly feel that an Art forum will be an attractive place for our Art loving posters. It will give them a place to talk about their common interests and ideas. It will be an awesome place to leave an Art related remark or idea and comeback and see tons of replies that are related to the subject.
I also feel that this forum will create interest in the non artists posters also. I have come across many guppy friends who loved the cultural art forum threads and said that no-one ever taught them anything about art and now this is a good place where they can post a question and receive an intelligent answer.
Other ideas are welcome…

While I strongly support this forum and brought up this issue before, I feel that at this point, subforums are not necessary.
I was talking to Ehsan Bhai about this few days back and told him that this will not be a forum for artist, but rather about Art and those who appreciate it and want to learn more. I specifically mentioned and have done it before too that this forum will be a very unique and good addition to all the other forums present. It is possible that a person is browing and spots this forum on this site and likes it and registers to take part in it.
There are talented artists on this website and then there are those who appreciate Art and want to see more. This forum will bring everything together and put it in one piece instead of a person having to post in General and ask questions there, or post in Image or Blog, and ask for help there.
This forum will not only be for discussing your own work and/or discussing work of artists around the world, but also to seek help about majoring in various fields on Art. This forum will without doubt give members here to discuss various aspects of Art which they might not be able to in other forums.
Having said that, I personally feel that at this time, a separate forum should do. After observing it, maybe then actions can be taken to create new subforums if necessary. This will also tell which field of Art is getting more attention and which is not; which field needs it's separate subforum and which doesn't. This forum can without doubt grow but in order to make it happen, we all must participate equally and appreciate it.
Hin I gave no such assurance or maybe my message got misinterpreted. I asked for your and others views on it and currently I am evaluating it. Not made a decision either way.

Abstract Art.. kia hai.. a lot of people understand this phrase in the same way as you described..
Abstract art is a transformation of everyone's reality.. It is the ways our lives have changed with time...
Let me try and explain.. Art in the 14th 15th and 16th century was nothing but elite majestic and for the rich only.. it was used for propaganda.. it was commissioned ..It was a means to show reality better than reality itself.. The artists tried to depict reality in such a way that it glowed.. it was all an effort to capture a moment of reality .. what does that remind you of .. a photo camera yes..
Well later in the 19th century when the camera was invented, it became of a lesser value to capture reality and artists like Vincent Van gogh .. Monet and Picasso were way ahead of their times and were painting ideas rather than physical reality ..way before the camera was invented...
