amusing news story

Re: amusing news story

Seems like Madhanee bhai jaan is taking everyone on a wild goose chase across Pakistan, to avoid talking about the issue in Georgia.

Re: amusing news story

It’s funny how uncle OG and uncle madhanee have diverted the thread from the original topic.

About the topic, all I can say is STUPID RACIST REDNECKS.

Re: amusing news story

Faisal Bhaijan, you can hop on too (on Danda).. it sure is a wild ride.

Agent.. yeah, that’s why Islam is the fastest growing religion in the Midwest.

Re: amusing news story

OG you are funny, i give you that. talking about glass houses saudis dont ever compare themselves to you. They have no issues with being labelled, their approach is take it or leave it. Where as might i say how many times americans are heard saying we are the greatest blah blah. so point here is saudis say exactly what they think and you guys would love to as well but damn, the oil.

Re: amusing news story

Wise guy…they have issue with identity and lables… they come to the west and drink like there is no tomorrow, screw around more than my drill bit, do whatever they want… but when they go back, its all goody goody wahabi puddy. Is that two face or what?

:jhanda:

Re: amusing news story

^ even if i agree with you, how is this approach of americans different? why dont you admit genius americans would love to behave in exactly similar manner they just cant afford it right now, they way world is going they might just prove me right. freedom, respect danda's ass ( no offence danda its just mentioned a bit too much).

Re: amusing news story

Wise… I see what you are saying, but if Americans want to do this thing, they will do it in their own country. If they want to build nude beaches, casinos, bars, they will make laws that allow them to do that… While Saudis are double faced, because they will go abroad and do what they (really) like but at home they don’t like being labeled as ‘heretic” or infidels by the Wahabi establishment. So I would say that they are two faced. Americans are one and a half faced, but certainly not two faced. And Danda don’t care… he just wants you to come near.

Re: amusing news story

We are going through something similar in our local area. Our mosque has outgrown itself, we purchased a house after making sure it fit all of the county's requirements for a religious worship place. But now the neighbours (of which there arnt many..but it seems people even streets away have suddenly become neightbours) arnt too happy about it and are in slightly more subtle ways trying to stop this from happening.

They havnt given any drastic views publically except that it will create too much traffic and be bad for their kids. Surprisingly the only other house on that street belongs to an old couple with no kids and the other side of the street is a funeral home.

Re: amusing news story

one and a half faced! glad to see you moving madhanee. Think about this though, americans dont try and dominate what routes other countries are taking to get rid of western approach? They are the most interferring breed i ever saw.

PD the charmin fella...

Re: amusing news story

It is illegal to prevent building of any religious place of worship in the US as long as local zoning and codes are not violated.

It should be legal to build temples synagogues mosques churches etc in pakistan, saudi arabia wherever, again as long as no local zoning and codes are complied with.

I hope America will not stoop down to the level of the intolerant ones

Re: amusing news story

Ah Hitlers Youth still live and it isn't in the church either.

Re: amusing news story

A first world country. In the UK, to build any place of worship you must have secured special permission from the local authorities.

Re: amusing news story

And i believe the US as well. Thus the discussion.

Re: amusing news story

Damn, what happened here? did I say something wrong?

Re: amusing news story

^ Don't involve family members in your retorts. Thx

Re: amusing news story

Oh faisal but my remark was not against is son, it is a common remark that fathers are jealous of their sons getting more than they ever did. Chalo, at least I know your reason this time.

Re: amusing news story

Wise guy,

I get lectured all of the time around here about how Islam is not monolithic. Yet you present the United States like we are all alike. We had two very different presidential candidates, and neither of them got 55% of the vote. When you breakdown the different cultures and priorities and backrounds and religions of the US, you can barely get anybody who agrees. The Saudis on the other hand are as close to monolithic as the Japanese.

My point still stands. Despite the cornball comments of a few ignorant Georgians, this country was FOUNDED on the concept of religious freedom. You go back and ask those same Georgia crackers if they believe in religious freedom they will yell "Yeah Buddy!". That is different from 9/11 backlash, which should be a more temporary problem...

And, we could have avoided this whole discussion if Fraudia would simply learn to speak "Southern". Perhaps an immersion program? A nice rural Alabama family will take him in after Paris Hilton leaves....

Re: amusing news story

Ok since we are so concerned that the few odd Christians in KSA don’t have access to a church and that these Muslim countries don’t have freedoms and human rights worth a damn, where is America and its vigilante justice when we need it?

Last time I checked, US has nooooo problems with the lack of liberation or democracy in Saudi Arabia :hehe:

Nor does it have a problem with a self imposed dictator in Pakistan?

Guess liberation is only good where it suits ya. Alright, atleast you are self admitted hypocrites.

Re: amusing news story

Why, you guys have trouble ignoring accents? At least we speak more than one language and find it amusing if someone should muggle up ours …Samjhay?

Re: amusing news story

Ok everyone - last I checked here is what is legal in Georgia.

1) It is legal to be a legal Christian, legal Muslim, or legal alien spacecraft worshipper, basically anything you want to worship, if you are a legal citizen, you can within the protection of the law. And to top it off NO TAX if you aren't Christian, the religious majority in America (amazing concept to allow people that freedom, let it sink in).

2) It is legal to build a church/mosque/synogogue/hole-in-the-wall-baptist tent if you legally own the land. Hell, throw a couple of chairs in a field and dance around a maypole at midnight as a service. Yup, legal.

3) It is legal to have a different opinion than your neighbor and if it is controversial enough then it is more than likely to be published in the nearest tabloid rag (ie source of this story). Therefore any ignorant opinion or viewpoint out there can be voiced without someone getting beaten, arrested, or told they are an infidel and legally killed for upholding another religious viewpoint. So, people can protest, people can say whatever, doesn't mean those idiots quoted have any credibility or say to the average educated person out there.

Now, let us compare legal freedoms here, shall we?
