Re: Amitabh’s classics from 70s and early 80s

Kalaa Pathar :k: :k: (only successful bollywood dissaster movie ) but the movie was so intense and yet interesting. Climax scene were very powerful.

One very nice song here http://www.paklinks.com/gs/showthread.php?t=149371

**Shakti ** Clash of titans ( Amitabh and Dilip Kumar ) First and Last (to date) time together. The result was superb acting

Silsila, Tirshool, Sholay, Lawaris all were nice movies

The giant was flexing his muscles in eighties too…

**Sharabi ** apart from fine acting, I like the dresses worn by Amitabh. They were stiched to perfection and made of very fine garment

Late eighty’s was mostly downhill for Amitabh, He only did ‘acting’ in One Art movie ’ Main Azad hoon’

Re: Amitabh’s classics from 70s and early 80s

Anand (:k: :k: :k: :k: :k: )

One of my all-time favorite Indian movie. The only movie that had two of India’s biggest superstars (Rajesh Khanna and Amitabh) in it. The movie was perhaps the rising of Amitabh and the down-fall of Rajesh. Khanna dominated Amitabh in every sense, but at the end it was Amitabh. Khanna, a dying cancer patient teaches his doctor (Amitabh) how to live a happy life.

**Saudagar **
It is perhaps amongst the most unknown of Amitabh movies. Bachan in a classical negative role, but he is not fighting with Amjad Khan this time. Bachan, a hard-working poor man, marries a woman to collect enough money quickly to marry another woman.

Re: Amitabh’s classics from 70s and early 80s

^ ARey tum konsey Jamaney ka admi hai rey

seeen both but dont like em very much :snooty:

Ok soudagar was good art movie but boring

Me like action intensity thrill :smooth:

ps. Bhai saab ! cinema main movie dekhney ka hai ? Pm ka mood nahi hai :snooty:

Re: Amitabh's classics from 70s and early 80s

Action movies are not meant for India, only Hollywood can create good action movioes. Indian movies were good as they raised some public issues at one time, now it is just "style ki dunya".

P.S. kion nahin, magar kaun si.

Re: Amitabh's classics from 70s and early 80s

DON => paan banaraswala, mai hoon don
Mukadar ka sikandar ==> rote hua aate hai sab, tere bina bhi kya jina
Amar Akbar Anthony ==> honi ko anhoni karade
Namak Haram ==> Diye jalate hai ...
Sharabi ==> all songs and muche ho to NATHURAM jaise warna na ho ..... :-)
Coolie ==> lambooji lambooji .... nothing great about this movie but this is the movie where he got injured, it was a life threatining accident.
Shahenshah ==> mainly for amitabh fans
Yarana ==> sara jamana hasino ka divana

in most of the movies mentioned above all songs are good ....

Hai Hai teri bindya re…(jaya and amitabh) don’t remember the name of the movie

Re: Amitabh's classics from 70s and early 80s

Jiski biwi ...
Very entertaining song

Re: Amitabh’s classics from 70s and early 80s

abhimaan

Re: Amitabh’s classics from 70s and early 80s

This song was brilliant, absolutely fantastic :k: :k:

Infact one of the best song, Amitabh sung himself. And one of the top 3 song sung specially for kids, other one bieng Lakri ki kaathi (Masoom),

In the end of song Amitabh says …

Our sher mujhey kha gaya … he lays down mocking dead

The kids were so enticed by the story that for some time they thought he actually died…
After a silence of 5-10 second one kid says:

Magar aap tu zindaa hain !

To which Amitabh says :

Yeh jeena bhi koi jeena hai lalloo ? :hehe:

This line is hysterically funny…

Now comming to Abhiman

This movie was sooooooooo technically sound. Acting wise Jia has outdone Amitabh marginally. but the technicality I would like to mention here

In the movie they show how a celebrity should manage and care about his/her fans. The singer (Amitabh) used to respond to fan mails professionaly. And his secretary used to sort mails, like the ones which asked for signed photograph and the ones which needed reply etc.
