^India cineama is as good as any other cinema in the world, well they make crap movies but they also make good movies.
To write it off by saying it is a joke, would just goes to show either you are ignorent or you are jealous, as you can't stand world start noticing the Indian cinema.
If you really think it is a joke then you would't have paid any attention, blanket hatred about everything regarding India, please grow up.
It is joke to west but who cares, Indian movies are not made for westerners.

india has made alot of good films and though they are not doing alot good at the present but we can not forget past where idia has made biggest hits and even today western countries watch and promot indian cinemas:D

The problem with Indian cinema is that they are competing with Hollywood. They can't. So what they end up doing is making these movies which are duplicate of Hollywood plots but lack the financing.
India has made some good movies in the past, mostly when they make it about their culture and not try to copy Hollywood.
Look at the Chinese Movie Industry. Why is it so popular in USA?
Movies like Hero, Fearless, etc....

do they have the same market place and same target audiance? NO.
competing in qulity? ofcourse.
Hollywood movies are bench mark for any other movie industry, so it's inevitable that every other movie industry try to emulate them, so Bollywood is no exception.
very small percentage of movies are made like that and these movies are for those who donot have the access to hollywood movies.
