Amitabh Bachchan rubbishes Slumdog Millionaire

Amitabh is sooo over rated and his fame went to his head. But I also think slum dog millioner wasn't all tat much and definately not golden globe worthy.

Yeah the boy who is in Slumdog Millionaire is from the British series about teenagers (sex and drugs mainly =)called ‘Skins’

^ I heard that the director found the bollywood faces too good looking and "hero types" for the part, and he was looking for a more normal, guy next door kind of face. His daughter had watched Dev Patel in a British TV show and she recommended him.

He should have requested them to take of their makeup...then it would have been a different story.

My dad’s job requires him to travel to various countries and India and Pakistan are among them. My dad says that when he comes to Pakistan from India he feels relieved. He says that Pakistan is like Jannat (Heaven) compared to the outrageous poverty in India.

most indian actors and actresses dont look like anything like a typical indian...

they look pakistani/persian and middle eastern....and plus the massive pounds of make up and lighting tries to make them look less indian... :)

YEAH! I love how half of these actresses have blue/green/light browm eyes, because, you know, that's how typical Indians look like.

I'd say slumdog millionare is more accurate portrayel of India then 90% of Bollywood movies.

You are partially correct - Indian actors & actresses are better looking than an average person. And thats why they are in the showbiz. Its the same case in Hollywood, and I am sure in "Lollywood" as well.

I am not sure what you mean by "typical Indian" looks. Northern India has enough of what you call "Pakistani/Middle Eastern" looking people. South India is different. And the reason is different gene pools - Aryans vs Dravidians.

Look around you on Pakistan's streets and you will see people of all colors, shapes, sizes and facial characteristics.
