A variety of reasons and among them is jealousy. But take Kiran Rao, actor Aamir Khan’s wife for example. Why does she not receive the same level of criticism? I think it’s because she has shown that she has talent, she has contributions to her credit, something more substantial than looks. Plus she carries and conducts herself in a way that doesn’t exude a superficial vibe. Take for instance the sister-actresses Arwa and Mawra, the latter is usually seen posing and taking pics with her cell. What kind of image would that send despite the fame and good looks? Not an entirely favorable one. But then again Faryal, Arwa and Mawra are younger whereas Kiran Rao is in her mid 30s, so personalities develop and priorities usually shift with age.
While it may not be so apparent in the smiles and glitz n glamour, there is usually a feeling of insecurity lurking at the bottom of the materialistic display; in a way the upkeep sounds tedious.
