The celebrity part of it is not of interest, but that doesn't mean there is not a lesson or two to be learned from it. Namely, counting other people's money is destructive, even if they are providing you with a calculator and urging you on.
Also, by being on this board we too are in the public sphere, and open to all sorts of commentary. We too share our photos and our stories and details of product preferences.
edit to add shock; Amir Khan got married? But he's still a baby.
Queenie…if you even skimmed a few of the posts, it’s quite easy to tell that the thread is about Amir Khan, the boxer and not the Bollywood actor…especially with obvious words like “Pakistani” and even more no-brainer clues like the mention of her name, “Faryal.”
You really think I read that all?? I read only two posts. One.. OP’s and two, TLK’s. The idea of Pointing out someone, feeling sorry for her & providing the opportunity to people to pass more mean comments… sounds doesn’t good.
Hey guys, this thread wasn't meant to bash the couple...I just wanted to know why a lot of people dislike them. Apparently, it's mostly his wife who's being the victim of people's hatred. He's still loved by most which is weird. Is it the women hating women thing?
Kiran Rao is considered more accomplished with the penning/direction of appreciated unconventional films to her credit. The description and mocking, while not nice I agree, does not allude to her.

Just reading 2 posts made you reach this conclusion?

A variety of reasons and among them is jealousy. But take Kiran Rao, actor Aamir Khan's wife for example. Why does she not receive the same level of criticism? I think it's because she has shown that she has talent, she has contributions to her credit, something more substantial than looks. Plus she carries and conducts herself in a way that doesn't exude a superficial vibe. Take for instance the sister-actresses Arwa and Mawra, the latter is usually seen posing and taking pics with her cell. What kind of image would that send despite the fame and good looks? Not an entirely favorable one. But then again Faryal, Arwa and Mawra are younger whereas Kiran Rao is in her mid 30s, so personalities develop and priorities usually shift with age.
While it may not be so apparent in the smiles and glitz n glamour, there is usually a feeling of insecurity lurking at the bottom of the materialistic display; in a way the upkeep sounds tedious.

I think you are absolutely right about the age factor.
Also I always used to think that people in limelight have agents who mentor them about do's and dont's...to keep their image balanced in public's eyes. I think they should get help from such agents. Them and Miley Cyrus....she also needs help.

.
Exceptions to the age point can include the Kardashians among other examples. Along with age, it also greatly depends upon how you conduct yourself.
Maybe, nowadays especially, a balanced image means "boring," so some grand gesture in either a very noble way or a shameless way is made to not only remain in the limelight but monopolize it as well. For all we know, the agents themselves could be behind the more vulgar displays.
Yes. because my conclusion is based on what I read in the first post and then.. I realized something same as TLK, AND THEN, when I actually threw the question that who is actually being discussed?, and came back to see Khatti’s reply, a post of Lilly grabbed my attention as she posted her some pics.. and going through that… I read her comments where she named her as an “attention seeker” ..
Duh!! No one is kid here, but sometimes when I need to explain what I mean.. I feel like, I am surrounded by so many.
