American System of Injustice

Re: American System of Injustic

So why dont you shift to a country that you really love.. Saudi Arabia or maybe Afghanistan.
So you are saying that your agenda is to change the system in US by settling there.. Living in a fools paradise is OK but this !!!

Please dont tell anybody what you have been smoking

Re: American System of Injustice

JayR, I have come back esepcially for these. So leaving is not an option :)

Re: American System of Injustic

I love you too.

Re: American System of Injustic

So opposing some elements of a government is hatred? I'm not a fan of conspiracy theories myself, but being a citizen or a legal immigrant you should enjoy at least the right to rage against the system. Especially in a very free country like USA (as they pretend to be one).

Re: American System of Injustic

Some element? He opposes everthing about the United States. As a citizen, yes you have the right to oppose policies, but even then, not everything the country stands for. But as a non-citizen? No, you have no "rights" to rage against the system.

Re: American System of Injustic

As a legal immigrant. Why not? You work there. Have a valid visa. Pay the taxes like any other citizen...what makes you different from the citizen?

Re: American System of Injustic

You can't vote for imbeciles and thieves into office.

Re: American System of Injustice

JayR, you brought personal issues into you arguments as your reasoning for condemning the U.S. while leaving out facts. I have no problem with anyone criticizing any government. The fact is I'm much more likely to have problems with those who have no criticisms with one. But how seriously can one be taken when they grab onto every negative conspiracy theory about a government? I've received my fair share of tickets before but I don't go off on the deep end and start claiming the government is preparing concentration camps for it's citizens.

Re: American System of Injustic

Haan, obviously that is a reason.

Re: American System of Injustic

He has a right to voice dissent but the U.S. has the power to deport any immigrant who chooses to voice their dissent.

Re: American System of Injustice

JayR,

This is the Internet, nobody knows who anybody is. The real point to Gupshup, particularly World Affairs is that this is an open Forum for debate. Over the past few years we have had marvelous debates on virtually every topic under the sun. Most participants here are smart enough, and strong willed enough and resourceful enough to defend their positions and challenge the positions of people they don't agree with. At the end of the day we may not agree, but we have exchanged ideas, and have a little better understanding on the views of others.

Most of us came here after 9/11 to discuss world events. Pakistanis are unique in that they have distinctly Muslim views, and generally have excellent command of English that makes it easy for Americans to communicate with them.

AliR and I have debated for years. Only once have I agreed with him, and I now believe I was feverish at the time. :) But, despite not agreeing with him, I respect him. He can effectively argue his views, and has done so for many years.

In short, if you can't take the heat, get out of the kitchen. If you want rapt attention at your every word, and a nodding head at every phrase, buy a dog.

If you keep posting about "American Injustice", and all you can do is cut and paste obscure articles, and lament your mail order bride, then you can expect many of us to call you out. Toughen up buttercup.

Re: American System of Injustice

Seminole, would never agree on that  and has never agreed with me on any topic
I appreciate the good words

Re: American System of Injustice

Cmon Semi, give Ali some encouragement. Think of something that you could have agreed upon over the course of the last 7 years.....

Start with something easy, like "Today is Thursday".

Then we will hold virtual hands and sing Kumbaya for a minute or two before tearing into one another all over again.

How about a "Gupshup World Peace Moment"?

Re: American System of Injustice

How about a Gupshup World Peace Treaty first :D

Re: American System of Injustice

After thinking about it, bite me.

It's more fun with a little edge to it.

If you ever come to Orlando, I would buy you dinner though...

Re: American System of Injustice

I've got to go pay $500 to the DMV, now that's a fk'in injustice.

Re: American System of Injustice

ooooohhh, you have been a very bad boy!

Re: American System of Injustice
