Marine Glorifies Child Killings
WASHINGTON, 14 June 2006 — An Internet video showing a Marine singing a song glorifying the killing of Iraqi children was condemned yesterday by the Council on American-Islamic Relations (CAIR) as “clearly inappropriate”.
CAIR called for an investigation after drawing attention to the video, which it says was posted in March on a website called YouTube.com and drew 50,000 hits.

So two Wrong’s make a right and in future we are to judge the occupying forces with the same yard stick as the Iraqi insurgents. What happened to all the democracy and freedom thing and the superior moral ground. The reality is like you describe. They are no different, at least the Iraqis are fighting to get occupiers out of their land and free their country from illegal occupation.

The reality is also that many Iraqis (Sunnis) are killing to keep their dominance over the shia and kurd. The reality is also that far fewer innocents have been killed in the days since Saddam was ousted than if he were still in power. It is also reality that is much more protest (on here as well as in any Musilm community) over the deaths caused by Americans than the exponentially higher numbers killed by Muslims. And the reality is that far, far more Sudanese are killed every day than will any Iraqis will ever be killed by Americans... and nary a peep. Or over the deaths, torture, rape, displacement and imprisonment under Saddam. It all depends what part of reality you want to focus on I guess.

^ Why aren't the Americans making any noises on Sudan. Why aren't the American forces liberating the people of Sudan. Oh pardon me I forgot, Sudan doesn't have oil . Poor Sudanese people if they only had oil. Why is that when it comes to Iraq the human rights and liberty is to be heard everywhere and when it comes to Sudan not a peep. Long live oil.

Granted, the Sudan isn't a strategic hotspot while Iraq is. But the US is providing more aid and attention to the Sudan than anyone else. But why aren't Muslims screaming about the genocide? Because they are black and those commiting genocide are Arabs?

There is no genocide in Darfur. The on-going violence is between a militia group of local Arab tribe and non-arabs of that region. UN sent investigation team did conclude that while terrible war-crimes were commited by the both sides, there was no intent of genocide. No international governamental body have choosen the word ‘genocide’ for Darfur, except United States.
You have to understand the complexities in order to solve this problem in Darfur. Sundan, no matter how poor, is an independent country and you just can’t go in with your army without the government’s permission as it would qualify as an invasion. This is where the U.N peacekeeping troops come in. Both sides have been accused of committing serious human rights violations, including mass killing, looting, and rapes of the civilian population. Although African Union military forces are activly present, they can not bring peace to that region. Reasons being lack of weapons and expertise in keeping the peace.
To neutralize the situation, American as well as European military forces must be deployed under U.N umberlla. There have been several international calls for it and so far, United States failed respond in an appropiate manner. It is not an accomplishment of any sort when America being a trillion dollar country spends few millions on a war torn country, but either way from a Muslim, thanks for the help.
