Te american space pen costed a million dollars to develop and even that was donated by the company that developed it. It is nothing more than a pressurised Ball point pen.
Russians dont use pencils (they never did). Sharp Broken pieces of lead flying around in 0g and getting into electronics makes pencils unuseable.
