The difference between American and British in indirect vs direct imperialism.

In the case of indirect colonialism, you only need to keep the continued loyalty of the rulers to avoid loss of control

For direct colonialism, you have to try keep the people happy to avoid loss of control.

Yes British were the best in terms of widening intellectual perspective of Indians, but American never ruled India, nor they do now :slight_smile:
