American Hates Canadian?

Seeing on TV shows, movies, youtube and read some comments seems like American hates Canada or sarcastic Canadian? Why?

Hvnt seen the vid but Americans hate everyone else.. For Canadians they think cans aren't equal to us, just benefit from being our neighbors

Not really. Canada and the United States have excellent relations and there are extensive people to people ties as well. Canadians don’t need a visa to visit the US, hundreds of thousands of them work in America, including some of the big names in Hollywood like Seth Rogen and Ryan Gosling.

The Gallup Poll mentioned in the article below should help clarify the misconception that Americans don’t like Canadians.

The article say “right now”, so was they before hates Canadian? if yes then why?
