WASHINGTON (AFP) Mar 10, 2004
The United States on Tuesday asked Pakistan to scale back its testing after the launch of a ballistic missile capable of carrying a nuclear warhead.
“We continue to urge Pakistan and other countries in the region to exercise restraint in their nuclear weapons and missile programs, as part of an ongoing effort to relieve tensions and build confidence in the region,” State Department spokesman Richard Boucher said.
“We understand that Pakistan notified neighboring countries before the test.”
The test, falling on the eve of India’s first cricket tour to Pakistan since 1989 and in the midst of a peace process with its nuclear neighbor, proved Pakistan’s intention to maintain a nuclear deterrent, the military said.
The test was the first of the locally-built Shaheen II or Hatf-VI missile, which can carry warheads up to 2,000 kilometers (1,240 miles).
They tell pakistan to do everything else from how to wreck i mean control the economy to what people can be educated in, telling them for fewer missle tests while the amerikkkans are producing mini nukes and spending $400 billion on their military is kind of hypocritical!

ak47, this public advice is always given to Pakistan and India, as well as other countries when they conduct missile tests. That does not mean that they listen to them, as can be witnessed by the biggest missile test of them all by Pakistan.
You are wrong, it is given more to Pakistan then India since Pakistan obeys. India, on the other hand, can't not be told what to do.

that is true india is not as easy to be dictated to by America like pakistan can.
Also America is trying to get into good books of india so that it will eventually be a bulwark against China rising as an example expanded military hardware, space technology co-operation, recently also israel was allowed to sell advanced rader equipment to India, america said no problem when israel tried to sell same radar to china america put the stop light on that one indicating what americas design for china is i.e contain it as much as possible.
Yeah they also told bad pakis not to build nukes and then slick called ganja 16 times begging not to test nukes..... Yeah yeah yanks will be telling lot of things in the years to come. Just sit back and listen...
