Rio is poor, but care free and fun.
The thing boils down to the people and their religion.
And Brazilian practice “passion for fun” with gusto. Even though they follow catholicism, and the video shows the big statue of Jesus (pbuh), the people don’t use their catholicism to hurt and kill other people.
In some ways Brazilians have adopted carefree attitude of the native Indians and mixed it well with a European sense of self worth. And the result is pretty darned good.
If you want to define Brazil in few words they would be “Beautiful people with fun attitude”.
