This is to give a perspective to those who are getting carried away by allegations being thrown on Pakistan regarding their unwillingness to wage a war against a small group of Taliban.

Fear and doubt as notorious 'butcher of Kabul' returns with talk of peace

So this Glbudin Hekmatyar was not only a declared terrorist but a warlord and a hated figure in Afghanistan as he is also called the butcher of Kabul. They have been having these kind of peace agreements for more than 10 years even when those groups continued to attack Pakistan (which they have). The local and foreign forces in Afghanistan only go after these groups once they are themselves attacked. As a result, Taliban have been in control of a significant territory in Afghanistan co-existing with NATO and Afghan army in the same country for 10+ years. This situation is comparable to a policeman who attacks a house to catch a criminal but instead goes on to live with him in that house.

If you put this situation in Pakistan what would Americans call it? That Pakistan has gone so complacent with terrorists that they have given a red carpet to the worst of Taliban terrorist. They would be wailing at Pakistan with all their propaganda machinery and their sidekicks in the east joining in.

They have adopted this policy of reconciliation for themselves for a long time while they continue to dictate to Pakistan that you are supposed to keep fighting and suffer the damage or else we will attack you.

With this kind of manipulative policy, there is nothing that Pakistan can do that will guarantee that they will not come under attack. Americans will always find an excuse to put pressure and attack. Libya didn’t have any terrorists and see what they have turned it into. Same story with Syria.

Not only this but also Fazlullah is there and yet these americans know where Afghan taliban guys are in Quetta and Peshawar but dont know where TTP guys are in afghanistan. Likely story.

Who are they B/S with their crap, Gen John Nicholson should stop hiding TTP guys in afghanistan before talking about Quetta and peshawar. Beysharam log.

Exactly. It is horrifying to see how easily so many people fall to American propaganda machinery and our people also start believing in them.

Here is another article from Guardian which gives us insights how Afghan insurgency is localized in Afghanistan which doesn’t make sense if we have to believe in their Governments narrative on how Taliban are rising there.
