Re: Amercian Gunman on shooting spree ! No dammit he is a freaking terrorist !

^ Really into what? Anti-semitism or hate sites?

Re: Amercian Gunman on shooting spree ! No dammit he is a freaking terrorist !

Not really in Power

But those that such events happen to can name it any way they want

Re: Amercian Gunman on shooting spree ! No dammit he is a freaking terrorist !

JayR, now you are getting really desperate

Baruch Goldstein was called a terrorist even by Ariel Sharon

don’t know why you had to go to racist websites to prove your point but that shows the desperate nature of your argument

Re: Amercian Gunman on shooting spree ! No dammit he is a freaking terrorist !

Jewwatch.com is a crock o sh1t, not 1 fake Rolex on the entire site!

Re: Amercian Gunman on shooting spree ! No dammit he is a freaking terrorist !

Code_Red has reasons. Why terrorists from other communities are not labeled as Hindu or Christian terrorists etc.?

Whenever an Islamist terrorist carries on an attack, the whole Muslim society is seemed to be standing by him by some or other reasons.
First of all it is declared that it is not as per Islam...... later on reasons and excuses are being given and in the end a 'design theory' is declared.

I can challenge that majority of Islamic terrorists have not suffered in their life, but their mind-set prepared in their child-hood at Madrisas against un-believers is the reason.

I have no objection in calling some one a Hindu terrorist or a Christian terrorist…..but reasons are entirely different and Code_Red will never accept it.

Re: Amercian Gunman on shooting spree ! No dammit he is a freaking terrorist !

Lets compare attack on abortion clinic and church.

Who would attack an abortion clinic.

  1. A person paid to do this
  2. A person with strong hatred for that place (personal reason or otherwise)
  3. A religious fanatic

And a remote possiblility, and highly unlikely that a terrorist orginazation would hire people and train them ask them to carry out such attacks.

The church attack had similar motives. The govt or civil society has more to worry and feel threatened when the source of inspiration is vague. Because they can not possibly guess where the next attack would take place. The civil society (or atleat the people of that town) will constantly live in fear.

This is an outcome of serial, random terrorist attacks. We live in pakistan and we have to live with this fear. Because govt can not contain these random attack on civilians as well as on law enforcement agencies. Similarly, they people in USA would have to live in fear because govt can not restrict the possesion of lethal weapons

As the previous post suggests, those in power choose the terms. So in the US, homegrown mass murderers are not considered terrorists - just deranged mass murderers. It's still a step above some Muslim countries where terrorists are not called terrorists or even mass murderers - but the polar opposite - martyrs. In Pakistan they wear t-shirts and hang posters of mass murderers. A poll suggests the #1 terrorist is more popular than their dictator. Maybe I'll start a thread to whine about that.

The irony of a comparision. :) no matter how unpopular the leader might be but i am sure he is still few points above his US counterpart. Also I never saw someone wearing t-shirt , posters of that mass murderer. I suppose you got wrong information there

Re: Amercian Gunman on shooting spree ! No dammit he is a freaking terrorist !

It's like Guantanamo Bay -- What do you want to call it? Zio-cons and Merc would call it an offshore detention center. A more neutral term would be an internment camp. A political term would be a concentration camp. It's even been called "The American Gulag" by Amnesty Int'l.

Re: Amercian Gunman on shooting spree ! No dammit he is a freaking terrorist !

What part of **"intimidate or coerce society or government" **do you fail to comprehend? That is a main component in the modern interpretation of terrorism.

It's not about how unpopular the dictator is, but how popular the terrorist is. The poll was an example. There are many articles on the internet that talk of the hero status, t-shirts and posters found in bazaars. The fact that the leaders of Pakistan and US both suck and are not popular does not diminish or affect the popularity of bin laden. Mass murderers in US don't become heroes.

Re: Amercian Gunman on shooting spree ! No dammit he is a freaking terrorist !

Why are not paying heed to the fact that there is no modern interretation of terrorism as such. It is all relevent .It is how

Sorry to burst the bubble but I was talking about the real Mass murderer of recent times... with credit of murder of hundreds of thousands of civilians for an *illegal occupation of a soveriegn country.

Yes thats right. The biggest mass murdered of our time is G W Bush. Osama is a street kid infront of him. And i dont see bush being popular in pakistan

  • illegal being just the modern day interpretaion of >>>Civilized<<< code of conduct for occupying another country. On the contrary, I believe every country can occupy another country for its resources or any other reasons. But the mass murdered remains the same, anyway.
