Because their intent when blowing up an abortion clinic is to** intimidate or coerce society or government**. A very important distinction when defining “terrorism” or “terrorist”. I apparently didn’t make my defintion that must easier since you still don’t see that distinction. Terrorism today is used in America to describe those who kill innocents with the intent of changing a government’s policies. Unfortunately today the majority of those actions, on a global scale, are commited by Muslim extremists.
As the previous post suggests, those in power choose the terms. So in the US, homegrown mass murderers are not considered terrorists - just deranged mass murderers. It’s still a step above some Muslim countries where terrorists are not called terrorists or even mass murderers - but the polar opposite - martyrs. In Pakistan they wear t-shirts and hang posters of mass murderers. A poll suggests the #1 terrorist is more popular than their dictator. Maybe I’ll start a thread to whine about that.
