Ambreen make up artist, UK reviews???

Hi

I’m getting married next year and would really appreciate your feedback on Ambreen as a make up artist.

I have been to 2 weddings where ambreen was the MUA and mashallah both brides looked stunning. My cousin had a trial with Lubna Rafiq and hated it and said she looked grey, was a rip off and lubna was too rushed as she had other clients.

Ambreen is quite expensive, I met her at the Asiana wedding exhibition. Personally, I didn't like her style. She does a lot of smokey eye. I guess everyone has different preferences. What kind of look are you after? Try her cousin seema syed :) xx

Hum I mean I don't mind ambreen for one day.

I want 2 different looks one traditional and one semi contemporary. I'm a bit confused though but don't want to spend ages and Money on booking loads of trials.

Jaawad Asharaf seems good but seems very rude when I emailed him, very blunt man.

Both my sisters went with Ambreen she is really really good and listens to what you have to say and caters for u! The only thing I didnt like about her was she kept answering her phone in between trials and on the actual day too thought that was a bit unproffessional!!

This is a huge problem iv noticed with all make up artists more interested in there phonecalls. However if they make you look nice then it's fine lol

How much did ambreen charge?

She's very bad at getting in contact though as I have sent her so many email messages and she hasn't got back to me' once!

I have heard Ambreen is very good if u do decide to go with her then let me know how u get on as I am planning on doing a makeup course with her.
I had her cousin Seema syed for my wedding she was also good but Ambreen was the one who trained her so ur better of sticking with Ambreen. Only dowside is the hair, the hair is done my Ambreens mum and I wasnt to happy with it.

Oh I didn't realise Ambreens mum did the hair for all her clients? I went to the wedding exhibition today and saw her real bride pics and I must say all of her brides looked very nice.
I also met Jawad Ashraf who was a lot nicer in person rather than by email.

They both charge £50 for a trial which isn't as bad as I expected. Ambreen has a big entourage of people who work for her so it's hard getting a chance to talk with her. Her 2011 diary was already booked for this year!

I will deffo let you know how I get on with her but my wedding is next year so my trial will probably be at the end of this year inshallah.

I had a trial with seema syed when I was getting married. She also mentioned to me that her khala (ambreen's mum) does the hair, dupatta, and jewellery setting. I liked her make-up but it wasn't that bridal looking. She's a very nice lady though.
