This is useless as a smartphone, runs Amazon's forked android and feels like an advertisement for Amazon's products and services. You can't change the ROM as the boot loader is locked, don't buy it, if you want a cheap phone get the second generation Moto G (2014), that's cheaper and better than this.

You can install google play store on the phone to over come the issue of Amazon only apps though.
