I thought this was found in the Roub al khaali fil Mukh.

little human 'Rub AL Khaali' is the huge uninhabited desert area in the south of Saudi Arabia. it's one of those few places of the world where man hasnt been quite that brave so far to conquer completely. it has extreme climate and is one of the world greatest deserts. the name Rub al Khali explains it all, it means empty place, as stated by Islamabad.

this reminds me of a time when in SaudiArabia and a photocopied image went around like crazy and everyone was stunned, it was an image of something between a large lizard and a human being and was found, yes, in some Saudi Aramco oilfield...ppl were really believing it and some tried to go into the area but ofcourse the craze faded in some time...
