I was listening to Dr. Farhat Hashmi’s Darsul Quran and I heard recite this verse from Quran:
Allah does not impose on any self any more than it can stand. (Surat al-Baqara: 286).
And then she did some of the tafseer to the that effect. She pointed out to the fact that people faint if they go through intense pain , suffering or loss.
Mashallah so wise.
A medical journal tells how loss of consciousness occurs as follows :
"Temporary loss of consciousness is a result of a temporary reduction in the blood flow (and, therefore, oxygen) to the brain. This can lead to lightheadedness or a “black out” episode of loss of consciousness. There are many conditions which can temporarily impair the brain’s blood supply. "
I started pondering and then I thought is it not a proof of Quran being Divine revelation and Allah the creator of this universe and human beings ? He knows the limits of bearing of a particular human. He has put a sensor and a switch attached to this sensor in every human body the sensor senses that the thresh hold of someones pain and suffering has reached and then this switch cuts this person off from the surroundings so that this person does not suffer anymore. Same thing with people going into coma.
