Amar Akbar Anthony question from me

I was seeeing one old film by name above. It played in Direct Tv (we getting by satilite). In that in one scenery there is one song - one qavvali actualy. Muslim boy Akbar is singing in front of Shirdi Baba.

It is film story only I understanding but qustion I have in mind - is it aloved for qavvali singing to Shirdi Baba (actually they have a statchu , not Baba in person) in Muslim relgon?

sain Baba is equally revered by hindus and muslims and there are atleast 3 temples of sain baba in India - one each in shirdi , Bomaby and Delhi. It's nothing abt religion , it's all abt faith. And sain baba was all in favor of Hindu-Muslim unity!

all such qavalis and other songs r FORBIDDEN in Islam....
such shrines r also un-Islamic....

popularity in hindus is because of the fact that shrine-worship has been adopted from their religion....

I was going to create a post about this, but you beat me to it. Yes, it is forbidden. The way they showed it in the movie, it looked cleary like idol worship, which is obviously haraam.

It might be according to some religion , but try asking thousands of Islamic devotees in India and they would answer you better. Faith and belief comes from inside , it cant be imposed. Faith gives you strength to live in a better way and doesn not know about any restrictions.

Just because thousands of "Islamic Devotees" in India think that singing and dancing in front of a stutue is ok, it doesn't mean Islam allows it. It's still haraam.

we r not talking about faith, or personal feelings, we r saying that Islam does not allow such things....

no concept of qawalli in Islam....and specially the way they sing it (in wajd or whatever) is totally unacceptable...

qawaals say that they have their own way of expressing their love for Allah....it is totally ridiculous....Islam has given us ways of expressing our devotion to Allah by praying etc...

whats ridiculous is how they get drunk and then sing the qawali...

:k:

agreed! please dont drag faith/devotion along with rules of some religion. As faith knows no boundary.

all fine and thankking all. But one person here saying Muslims in India not Isalmic alowed! Why saying? We have thousands thousand mosqs and all very very Islam mosqs. Why yoy say they praying wrong? only you knowing Quron and they wrong? why may be you wrong they right? I am saying not scolding but possible, na?

so dont say you right only and India muslims wrong. They good people also and a litel bit bad people also - all same as Pakistan good people but litel more bad people also!

One person said Mohmad no picture or idel inside mosqe. that is ok I think because no camera in old days. Only drawing pictures. But may be no drawing avaiable nowdays because inside sand - may be like in Indiania Jones (inside box under sand after snakes scenes in film).

All gods same I think and all people difrent and difrent. you and also your brother (own brother not cosin brother) have same father. But still inside same family in same house still not same looking. why? because difrent. but father same! but old brother liking sweets like halwa and jamun but litel brother liking pakora not liking halwa. same way one liking Alla and one brother liking Jusus but still same father in same house.

^^
