On the occassion of our independence, I want to thank the moderators of this forum as well as the posters for making this place the most vibrant section of Gupshup.
I started my GS journey more than 7-8 years ago from this very forum and woh kehtaY haiN naa…
Pohnchi waheeN pe khaak jahaaN kaa khameer thaa
If you have noticed, I had started participating the most in this forum in last few weeks… All credit goes to Amal for his support and encouragement all along. Thanks to Amal for opening the Time Pass thread so that we could spent time in knowing each other and chit chatting than merely posting poems and getting praised…
I am grateful to Amal for selecting me as one of the Judges in the two competitions held here… I admire the trust he has shown in me disapproving all other influential factions of this very forum who think otherwise. I believe that it is imperative to make a difference when you are misjudged by others… I can not say for sure if I have done it but the fact that I have been given such an honour by Amal, does give a satisfaction to my heart that I have succeeded in giving a second thought to all the fingers pointing at me.
I am amazed to receive such an enormous respect from every single person in this forum. I am grateful to each and everyone of you. I do not know if I will be able to write all the names but I will try - not in any particular order except for mentioning mods in the beggining:
Amal:
Only thing I want to say to you is what I learnt from you ![]()
Mar bhee jaaouN gaa tau kahaaN loug bhulaa hee daiN geY
Lafz meraY, meraY honaY kee gawaahi daiN geY ![]()
Nikamijano:
Thanks for moderating this forum along with the wonderful person that Amal is. Although, you are a mod and I should not be telling you anything or advising you for anything - as moderators here have an attitude and pride problem and often they insult you by saying that they know how to do their job - I am sure you won’t mind me giving you one advice… Always try to take a decision as a mod; not a helper to the mod. I have felt it that way during my stay so just mentioned that… forgive me if my analysis was wrong…
KhamoshNigaheiN:
One of the bestest people I found here… Her poetry was amazing and the fact that her words always seem strikingly similar to my own words, always gave me a strange feelings… Your birthday is coming on August 23rd.. I wish you a very happy birthday..

Message:
After evaluating the thread for best of 14th… I felt sad…
I felt sad because the good things mentioned in those poems and the promises that we keep hearing in such poetry, we have chosen it to be reiterate it once an year… We are living a hypocritical life.. At one hand, we say big things like of equality and fairness and on the other hand, our actions speak louder than our words and perhaps a different language altogether. Our nation is stoop to the lowest corruption level and many of those things are evident in the behaviours of some of the higher-ups in this forum as well… If one is fair, one needs to learn and have courage to listen to the criticism as well… Do not be so proud that you only think highly of yourself and above mistakes…
It’s our independence day… but we are not independent as yet.. we are slaves of our own pride, our own corruption and our own red tape mentality.
We talk and admire national songs and never evaluate our ownselves in the words of the very poems… If it was in my hands, I would have given goodnews’ post the best one for sure…
The real independance will come the day we will have courage to listen to others and make our ownselves worthy of the job we are given responisbility of… The day when we will have leaders coming on Merit and not through a “chain reaction” … The day when we will break the chain of sifaarish (illegal recommendations) and the chain of pride that only makes us nearer to Iblees.
I want to share the timeless beauty of Sahir Ludhiyanvi. Something, that may or may not have a hidden message… only time will tell… Time tells many things… Remember me in your prayers…
