Am I starving myself

I started my diet and exercise from 25th december and I used to weigh 10 stones 8 pounds and now today I weigh myself and im 10 stones so that means I lost 8 pounds within less than a month. I wanna loose more 2 stones.
Im reading so many threads and articles on weight issues these days, and a I have noticed I eat very little even less than I supposed to eat. I just take about 600 to 800 calories a day. Now I have realised that its not a healthy way to diet and loose weight. In order to loosing my weight healthily or following a healthy diet plan will add up my calories intake to 1000 to 1200 calories. Im wondering would it effect on my weight if I start takin more calories than I used to take. Plus can someone recommend me low calorie healthy diet plan. Thanks in advance:)

Re: Am I starving myself

A healthy weight loss plan is usually a combination of two things: healthy eating habits and physical activity.

If you increase the calories you are consuming, you have to make sure you are eating the right things AND working out. You will get even better results this way. If you notice a temporary lull in your weight - where you do not lose or gain - do not be discouraged. Its common to be stuck for a week or so and then see the scale move slowly but surely. The funny thing about our body is that if you starve it, you gain weight. Its a defense mechanism in place...when you deny your body food...it goes into survival mode. So every time you feed yourself, your body takes that food and immediately stores it since it has no idea when it will see food again. This is one way people gain a ton of weight. When you feed yourself periodically and its GOOD food...as in healthy food...it speeds up/improves your body functions...your metabolism wakes up because its getting what it needs...you have more energy and feel much better. This is how you lose weight.

For breakfast, keep it simple but good. You may not feel like you're eating much but in fact you will feel a lot of energy because you've fed your body well. An example would be: a hard boiled *egg *(egg whites are amazing), some grapes, an apple, whole wheat toast with low fat peanut butter.

For lunch, I (this is a personal preference) try to avoid chicken and turkey but because its still early in the day you can easily have them. So a grilled chicken sandwich with lettuce, tomato, cucumbers, etc. For taste, you can have a dash of mayo and mustard...only a dash.

For dinner, keep it light. Most of us go to bed within a couple of hours of dinner so keep this meal the lightest. A nice spinach salad with all the fixins and no dressing. Salad dressing is a gimic people...its not what it looks like so stay away from it. All the calories you save by eating a salad get piled on with the dressing. Just read the label, you will be surprised.

Snacks can be fruit (there is so much variety in fruit alone!), cucumber slices, carrot sticks, even string cheese!

You can eat but you just have to eat smart. When you're planning your meals, your heaviest meal should be your breakfast and lightest dinner.
