It turns me off when i hear stories of MILS imposing their choice of bridal wear on a girl. Cuz sometimes they pic totally unflattering colors and styles. Although ^ shooting the MIL…would cancel the wedding. Defeats the purpose. Just use the gun as a “threat”. LOL.

Sara....my friendly neighborhood mod....I have a question about GS smilies. I know that separate link we can all go to in case we can't access all the smilies. But whenever I go that separate link for GS smilies (that was recommended by GS administration).....and I copy my desired smiley and try to paste it into my message......IT DON"T WORK!

Why is that? I feel deprived without me emoticons.

Yup, I totally agree…The big day is her day, she should have the liberty of wearing the color she want , the style she want to be in, full matching…but not like deep neck with short sleeves or sleeveless otherwise everyone in wedding function will be like…oey ja bride ko ja ke gale mil aj to wo kuch nahin keh sakti and bechara groom is like :mad2: :mad3:

If you look at what you've said - these were gifts from your MIL to you - yet you demanded that it be given to you instead of patiently waiting to receive it as the gift it was meant to be - might be why your guy's a little upset. It was a gift from your sasural.

I would eat crow and do a mea culpa - blame it on the excitement of getting a gift that was much appreciated - but nevertheless acknowledge that your MIL's sister (doesn't matter that he may not see eye-to-eye with her - she still represents an extension of his mother and the respect he expects you to give his mother) is a valued member of your soon to be extended family and you didn't intend to hurt anyone's feelings.
